Culinary Class

Currently seven Eagle Learning Center students are taking a four week course in Culinary Arts. Participants in this class are learning about product identification, food service equipment, fundamental skills and principles, meat and seafood preparation, advanced culinary cuisine, and preparing for large party and banquet desserts. Students are preparing different foods, in class, each day. Likewise, they are studying to the take the ServSafe exam at the end of the four weeks. ServSafe is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and is required for employment in most restaurants and food chains. The ServSafe certification is valid for five years upon successful completion of the test and sixteen hours of classroom instruction.
