Updated Curriculum and New Course Work
The ELC has updated its curriculum and added new course work. Students now have access to brand new Biology, Economics, and Health courses. In addition we have added Integrated Math 1 and 2. All courses meet Oregon Schools and Ohio state standards.

Biology
New Fork Lift and Nurses Aide Classes Offered
Are you 18-21 years of age and interested in taking an extensive, five week training class to become certified to operate a fork lift or to be a licensed State Tested Nurses Aide? Classes start on January 18, 2010 and run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Classes will be taught by the staff of Oregon Career and Technology Center. Funding for this program is being provided by The Source of Lucas County. All participants must be screened and approved by The Source. Interested students must be income eligible and complete an application.
Fork lift class begins
On November 30, the fork lift training class began with enthusiasm. Students participating in this class will obtain OSHA certification as well as becoming first aid and CPR certified.
Students will also learn how to operate a fork lift. During the class students will perform many tasks with the lift and will then be tested on their ability to operate. Participants who successfully complete the class will become fork lift certified.
